Disability, Faciality, and Redaction

This study offers a fresh approach to the historical books of the Hebrew Bible by exploring how disability is portrayed across different textual layers. Drawing on critical theory, Gates shows that the kingdoms of Israel and Judah understood disability in strikingly different ways - differences that shed new light on how these texts were composed.
